Brighton & Hove Tree Festival
The Brighton & Hove Tree Festival 2024 to celebrate the city’s trees was held on the weekends of May 11/12 and 18/19.
The Tree Festival’s family friendly events highlighted the importance of Brighton & Hove’s trees and their immense value to the city and its residents. There were a host of free family events for everyone to enjoy.
Here’s the 2024 Festival brochure [PDF}.
Keen photographers submitted superb images of trees for the ‘I love this tree because…’ photographic competition. See the gallery of winning and short-listed photographs.
The Champion School Trees project invited all Brighton & Hove schools to celebrate their special trees by identifying tallest, widest, and oldest trees.
The city’s first digital map of notable trees was published along with App-guided ‘tree trails’. You can still view the map and enjoy following a Tree Trail across Brighton and Hove.
Brighton & Hove has such special trees that we should celebrate them all year!
