13 October 10am: Sussex lost and found – working lives across the centuries
This event is part of the Shoreham Wordfest, held annually to support local creativity and attract high profile authors and speakers to Shoreham-by-Sea.
This whole day (10am to 4.30pm) event of social history is a new venture exploring various aspects which have impacted the lives of ordinary people in Sussex from medieval times to the start of the twentieth century.
Led by Dr Clive Webb, Professor of Modern American History, University of Sussex and David Johnson, Vice-Chair CPRE Sussex , the Countryside Charity, the day has been organised in partnership with many speakers and organisations.

Your ticket can include free entry to Sussex Songs of Sea, Seasons and Revolt – A concert of Sussex folk songs with Liz Overs and the Duck Pond Singers at 7pm on 13 October.
Both events will be held in the Ropetackle Arts Centre, Little High Street, Shoreham-by-Sea, BN43 5EG.
